Fruits and Nuts: Is it that hard to grow blackberries? I didn't think so, 1 by vossner

Last year was the best year with a little bit of fruit but deer helped themselves to them. Demoralized, I didn't water them as religiously as in previous years but I have kept them trimmed and weed free. So, WHAT GIVES?

All I have this year are these little 6" plants.
