Back at the first part of the month I got seeds of four Vellozia species (not identified except for the region/area they came from) from a friend in Brazil. I became fascinated with them after a small plant http://plantsdatabase.com/showimage/45613/ I puchased began blooming.

From all that I have read they seem to be a tempermental lot, so I had to share my success with them somewhere:-)

Three of the four have germinated, and pictures of two are below. The third species is just starting to come up, so no pic of it yet. Still waiting for signs of life from the fourth species though...
