Hey guys, how y'all doing?

Sorry to break in here with a change of topic, but I have a question for y'all. Has anyone been having a "problem" (ok, it's not really a problem.. more of a 'situation') finding dead moles/voles in their yards/gardens? This is so weird, but this past... Friday, I think it was, I was at work and stepped out the back door of the greenhouse for a quick smoke-break. Right on the bottom step, JUST outside its hole, there was a DEAD baby mole... or was it a vole? I'm not sure. Which ones look just like a mouse only with no tail and a severely pointed face.. and sort of webbed-looking claws? Anyway, it was one of those, and it was right ON the bottom step, I nearly stepped on it!! Eeewww!! So, the next morning I was heading out the front door on the way to work, and saw this weird grey "lump" in my big bed next to the porch.. which turned out to be a bigger version of exactly the same critter; dark grey, severely pointed snout, no tail, and hard webbed-looking claws. It was RIGHT next to its hole, but not only was there a hole, the area around the hole was all dug up with the soil tossed about. I will provide a pic of the offending critter. I'm thinking it's a vole 'cause my new-ish cuttings of a Golden Queen Euonymus were found near the crime scene, rootless. < =/
So, TWO of these critters found dead just outside their holes in TWO days.. very odd. And I didn't do it, I swear!!! Has anyone else experienced such a strange thing lately?
