This Shrub has very fine, spidery roots that radiate out from the base.
Took this picture to show Paul what he was up against....

His comment was: "OH MY!!!"

My wish was--that hopefully, this shrub's roots were ALL of this kind, and shallow--
and that we would not hit a massive tap-root deeper down.
