We let them outside during the day and if we lose power we bring them in at night. A couple of them sitting in a vase will light up the table really nice for a lighted game spot or even reading. Great for bedrooms with out the fire risk of candles. We had a couple of close calls with what we thought were safe burning candles so I am pretty careful. I like these they are unobtrusive in the garden, inexpensive and work for quite a long time. Great to take along camping, too.
