I have a ~6' tall white that just started to Y. After listing to some folks that have good information, (all of you) , but this time especially Root and Kaufman, I have stirpped off Most of the leaves below the Y. I just couldn't take them all off below the Y, just too chicken. I'm hoping to force more bugs. This plant was a 2 yr old cutting that was cut back to the base when I got it last fall. It has 2 stems. The other didn't Y yet so I haven't trimmed the leaves. Here is a photo of one trimmed, and not the other. There is a sport at the bottom of the one I trimmed.

#1. Have I trimmed enough off of the stem that has Y'd, and should I cut off and root the sport?

Must be too late for me on a work night, all these posts where edited for spelling. oh well...
