While doing so I notice a bird fly out from the inside. I take a peek and there I see a birds nest with three eggs. See photo. I live on 18 acres with lots of small oak trees. I'm amazed how many birds nest are in small trees and so low to the ground. With all this land why don't they pick a less populated area? I mean this little bird nested right next to a yard of barking dogs. It makes me wonder if she did this on purpose to protect herself from predators.
