There's a hollow trunk in the big eucalyptus tree where I view the Ospreys from. A pair of Pink and Grey Galahs have nested there and this is their unfledged chick. We get young ones accompanying their parents and/or aunts and uncles to our place after they've fledged and their begging calls sound like a human baby crying. This one is much younger than those we get here and for the first time, a couple of days ago, I actually heard it singing, if singing is the correct term. I've never heard a Galah sing before.
