DonnieBrook wrote: Wow - lost another whole thread again, so it took the past 45 minutes to read this one and catch up! Thanks all for the nice birthday wishes for my son and Celeste's. Interesting that they have the same birthday exactly 10 years apart, huh? Victor - glad to hear your knee is doing well! I know you'll be happy to get back out hiking in the fall especially. I would have missed your fall photos if things had been otherwise! Pirl - I'm really laughing at the misspelled signs from Mecklenburg County. I recognize a couple since I taught English there and am just positive that some of my prize students are likely now on road crews! lol Welcome home, Jan!! I'm sure it must have been worth it to return to a parched yard. Your trip sounded like it was just wonderful! Whoa, Bill, that is something about the bear. Hope it has gone along its merry way by now! Funny that so many of us live on "Hill Roads" We live on Taylor Hill Rd. :) That snake video was really creepy! From inside the hood it could have come into the car instead, couldn't it have? looks like more nightmares tonight! I'm still not over the last one when the giant snake that had human arms reached out and started choking me before it sunk its venomous fangs into me. Dave - I think your renovation sounds wonderful! It will be like having a new house without paying a mover!! Good for you! I have about ten minutes left to the peace and quiet in the house. Our grandkids (3 and 6) are visiting for 2 weeks. We are having such fun with them, but they are still kids and we aren't used to having a house full of people day and night. Wouldn't trade it for anything! But some quiet time is nice. Hank and the puppies are napping and the kids and their Mom are meeting her sister and kids at a playground. I'm chasing down some DG time! |
