When I looked at the picture I saw a White-breasted nuthatch. :) I hope it doesn't sound like I'm picking on him. He's in the early stages of learning as the rest of the family. We just witnessed these so much more than he as he works during the day.

We tried to go birding for our anniversary yesterday. We found someone to watch the children as a grand treat. I don't remember the last time we didn't take our children on our anniversary outing. The heat was keeping the birds in the shade so we didn't see a whole lot, but we enjoyed our leisurely time. We also hit Barnes &Noble (bought a couple bird books), Lowe's (had to replace the tube feeder that crashed to the ground in a storm), PetSmart (BIG block of suet and cage to fit it in) and Olive Garden. (Umm, I had chicken alfredo. Hey, that's bird related. :)
