There are 2 inch grids that they crawl up in. Sharon, I remember the temperature a couple years ago there. I do weight and balance for some of the flights out of Las Vegas, so have to be familiar with the temperature all the time. That's how I noticed it was so cool there. Usually we are fighting 90's and near 100 by now. The hotter it gets, the longer it takes the airplanes to get off the ground. When it starts hitting 105-115 we have to leave cargo and people behind. The air gets thinner the hotter it gets, and there is less lift. Spent the day deep watering, our 30 percent chance of rain fled this afternoon. Did the beginning of summer trimming as things are starting to get shaggy already. This is a clerodendrum Bungei getting ready to bloom. I think they are also called climbing hydrangeas. While they are beautiful, they are the most invasive plant I've ever seen. They will grow under entire driveways to get to the the other side. I pulled one tiny plant out of an alley years ago while walking the dog, and now they are all over the garden. |
