Here is my newest addition to my collection of adenium obesum (desert rose). It's called Santa Claus. It features a red double flower with white markings. I like it. Gail loves it.

Adenium obesums are very addictive, for some reason. What started out as a rescued plant has turned into a full ménagerie of those caudiciforms. When I got home with the first rescued one, Gail said in a tone of voice that left no room for interpretation: "You paid $6 for THAT!!!???". I had no choice but to hang my head in shame and mumble "Yes". She thought I was going soft in the membrane. Now, they're very dear to her heart, too. It's so nice to grow old and soft in the membrane together.
