I have a heather that is mostly dead. I'm ready to give up on heather for my climate--it will make it for a few years, then one winter it emerges looking horrible and I throw it out. I'm wondering about a really dwarf evergreen instead. I want something that looks good all the time and will stay less than 2 feet in diameter (or can be pruned to stay that small) and height no more than 18". Anyone have a good candidate to suggest?
