ladygardener1 wrote: Hi all ! Last night was a bust. I had planned on watching the new Deadliest Catch at 9:00 but started to realize by 8:00 that it was not to be, started to feel uncomfortable, so opted to get ready for bed, ate some yogurt so I could take my Tylenol PM, brushed and flossed, and climbed into my PJs and then into bed, I read a while waiting for the Tylenol to kick in. Turned off the lights and the fire siren went off, I listened to make sure it was not a tornado warning, (a steady wale) but it was either a fire or motor vehicle accident. As I was just starting to relax, a big clap of thunder came through and continued most of the night waking me up. When we get very changeable weather in the spring I get antsy, having gone through a tornado once. I finally dozed off and woke up at my regular 7:00 am time. Paul told me it was a small electrical fire but in an old wooden building that houses a bar and living quarters upstairs. The building is not far from our house. I am feeling sore but no real pain, I did take my 1/2 pain pill, this am but I am noticing my vision getting strange so will see if I can get away with out the pain pill tomorrow. It is a learning experience. I was hoping to get out today in the 60º weather to check the vegetable plot for the peas I had planted, but it quickly dropped to 41º and never warmed back up. What a spring! I saw on the local news that the largest local farmer in out area is 2 weeks behind in planting and the storm last night has not helped, he said that this is the most mud in the fields he has seen in 45 years. Sweet corn had he usually starts to harvest by the 4th of July will be at least in middle of July, and peas and beans that are planted on weekly intervals will not get planted on schedule. I did get a picture out my dinning room window of my pink tulips starting to get some color. Thanks everyone for your warm wishes, you are my sunshine, and you put a smile on my face. |
