It is less than 3 feet by 8 feet, and the strange concrete bar that separates the garden gives me even less usable space for planting. But I've tried to make the most of it and call it the Little Garden that Could. I've tried to include native Texas wildflowers or plants, where I could. The little garden is full of life - snails, slugs, and earthworms and an occasional toad. Numerous birds visit the garden including: hummingbirds, finches, cardinals, and curved bill thrashers. Unfortunately, I can't seem to attract butterflies. I put in a drip irrigation system in there this year, and I'm right proud of it, so I just thought I'd share my little Texas garden with you. |
