I have red and blue that come back for me every year--the blue like a perennial, and the red self-seeds. I have 'Hot Lips' that never dies back--the only S. I have ever seen that is an evergreen. I've not had any success collecting seeds from it, but successfully got a start for a friend by layering. My garden was neglected for the most part for the past two years, so now I'm working it in earnest, and loving every minute of it. I miss the daily work in the garden though; but thankfully the days are longer again now--yea!! more daylight! Can someone tell me when I should expect my bananas to show some signs of life? I really love them when they're grown and full, but they're so depressing all dead *crooked smile* Here's my favorite early bloomer.... Oxalis... 'Francis' (my dad's name) |
