In fact, the apparent challenge of pecking off pieces of peanut keeps the bird on the feeder longer. They don't "hit and run", so to speak.

Here are just four of the birds that quickly found the feeder, within about a 40 minute time frame. I hung the feeder and then I watched.

I'm not surprised that the first to check out the new feeder was (nanny will appreciate this) was a Carolina Wren.
