NO WAY. I was using a 70-200mm (at 200) with a Tamron 1.4 TC. How it got 500mm on the EXIF is a mystery to me. but even 200 x 1.4 x 1.6 (the 40D) = 448mm, not 500.
NO WAY. - I was no where near 3200. More like around 1600.
1/800 sounds about right.


You reckon the TC was the cause of the discrepancy.
