Insect and Spider Identification: CLOSED: Strange Cricket type bug, 1 by Moldy_One

My son is terrified of bugs and I dont want to kill (or have him Kill) something that i might be able to lure out of the house. They dont make any noise, hop around like crazy and they look like a cross between a cricket and a june bug almost and im trying to find out what they are. I live in Decatur AL if that helps narrow it down due to location. I included a picture but its not very good.
