My Dahlias are not all day in the sun. The ones I have in the front they are under morning sun and afternoon shade. The one in the back on morning shade and afternoon sun. They are also by the sprinkler.
I just love them. They did bloom a little in the spring. In the summer they just hang-on with bright green leaves and at this time of the year they start to bloom really nice.
I like the smaller Dahlias. The larger one I have they never seem to get so nice like the one my friend have up north.
