I was just on the phone to my quail hunting buddy in OK, looking out the fifth-floor window of this resort when I see a grouse fly off a mesa a couple of hundred yards away and fly down into some landscaping here. I tell him I have to go see if I can get a pic of this bird. I expected it would be long gone by the time I got down and out there, but located it sitting in a pine tree.
