Gitagal wrote: Judy--nothing that drastic........ I have noticed a bit of browning too--especially in the flowering annuals....but then I think--"Well, the Summer IS coming to an end!!!".....Most of that Fresh and new look is long gone....Petunias are leggy and not blooming so much any more, some of my usual annuals never really got off the ground...like my Heliotropes....Perhaps I bought the miniature version of them???? My guess would also be that too much rain-- all at one time--when the plants have been in a drought survival mode may affect them negatively....This is just an over the top wild guess..... On the other hand-- My Daturas and Brugs are loving this weather as are my Cleomes. My KK Hibiscus is ready to bloom for a second round after I cut it back after the first round... My Fall mums (from last year) are growing huge--even after I cut them all back earlier this year. Tomatoes are coming in OK--nothing spectacular....Need a new location....this one is used up.... My potted Hibiscus is blooming away---it just doesn't know any better.... My Mandevilla is up as high as it can go----Just an amazing vine!!!! |
