I find one of the quickest ways is to root 4-6inch,pencil thickness or less semi hardwood cuttings in water,using a soft drink bottle and you only need an inch or 2 of water. I keep the lid on to keep the humidity up. Place it in a warm bright position. Usually only takes a matter of days before roots start to form. I have found the green softwood cuttings seem to take longer.
