Sharon and Dawn ~ Have you been to the cactus and succulents forum? http://davesgarden.com/community/forumes/f/succulents/all

I suppose I would go there if I lived in 100°+ for most of the summer. I would not go to the lengths you two go to to keep my plants alive, much less thriving. Maybe JB and Dave should go there too...LOL!
But they probably have too much humidity, right? Even though I am from El Paso, I do not like the desert or cactus. The only time I like the desert is in spring when the wildflowers are in bloom. Oh, and to sleep under the stars is an amazing memory. When I was about 7 years old I went camping with my parents in the desert. There were 100 gazillion stars and I never really saw so many in my entire life. Even here, where we live, you have to wait for winter to see a good number of them and even then then city lights are ever-encroaching...so the view will always be obscured.

Sharon ~ Do you do all the landscaping for the whole greenbelt? Are you so close to the golfcourse that golfballs go into your windows? Maybe you could draw us a map as I am trying to picture your home in/near the golfcourse.

Jeanette ~ Which hand-held steamer did you get? I have the Shark that came with the floor steam mop that I got at Sam's Club a couple of years ago. Neither one has the pockets.

JB ~ When you are ill, it is worse as the only thing is to be sure to try and keep everything alive...if I miss one watering I could lose a lot. Especially those in pots. So I had better get dressed, as DH has gone to town to get supplies. I thought I was over this "bug", whatever....I feel feverish, but I must water. Then I can decide once I am out if I feel well enough to do more. I did too much yesterday. I should have just came home after the chiro...I get depressed if I am so far behind in all things pertaining to my garden plans...seed starting, bed renewing, mulching, etc....and I want to start some things from cuttings as well.

Well, for everyone's sake, I am hoping that the weather will cool off soon.

I cannot sit here any longer. I must get moving. It even hurts my fingers to type.
