I do know that my established clumps of DL's have gone without water for a long time this summer and in previous years and they still look great. They store a lot of water in those fat 'roots' of theirs. I say 'roots' in quotation marks, cause the fat part is not the root, but a water/nutrient storage device. I don't know what they're called, to be perfectly honest with you. You'd think I'd know everything about them, but there are a few things I don't know.
