New gomphrena "Fireworks" finally opened enough to take picture.

My pepper plants were loaded but we were having a hard time keeping up so my neighbor came over and cleaned out the big ones for salsa and other sauces....I DO expect a jar of sumthin later...LOL

Big maters are finally coming off. First to ripen were the grape maters"Juliet". Pick the first Kellogg's Breakfast Thursday. Hub's always pick them too soon so I laid it in the kitchen window to finish with dreams of mater samitch dancing in my head. Checked on it Friday and hub's had sliced the WHOLE THING up and ate it w/ Friday's supper. ACK!

I HAVE MELONS! Ok so thy're only about the size of a jawbreaker but they're Ambrosia so they only get 2-3 lbs and I'm lickin' my chops to taste the first one.
