evelyn_inthegarden wrote: Dave ~ Feel better.... Sharon ~ I am SO sorry about your husband....he will be in our thoughts and prayers. I am 68 as well, but, alas, I have no helper. So sometimes I do not finish until I get back to it, though I do stick with a project until done. JB ~ And I am SO sorry about Barney, AND your carpet! Awful mess! I hope he is better now. Jeanette ~ We all look forward to your pictures... Lynn ~ The plants I sowed outdoors are doing better than the ones I sowed indoors, as they have a tendency to dry quicker than I can water at times, so I lost quite a few. The ones that I sowed outside are now in the partly-shaded nursery area and most of them are fine except when I had to go into town twice in a row. Hopefully they have recovered. Still, consistency is the key to healthy plants. Jill ~ I have had the Shark steam mop for quite a while. Oh, they get the floor SO clean! The newer ones may be an improvement...see Sharon's post on hers. ibartoo ~ The Deno method is just paper towels inside the ziplock bag. This link might be helpful... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6317736 Summer is here now with a low of 60° and a high of 80°, yesterday, though in the largest nearby city, Sacramento - 50 miles away - the highs are in the 90's and is predicted to get to 100° in the next few days. Of course, 50 miles in the opposite direction is Lake Tahoe with predicted highs of high 60's to a low of 45°- 49°. So we are pretty much in the middle here in the Sierra foothills. Have a good day everyone. And don't work out in the heat too much. Mini rose in the "Peach of a Garden"..... Edited to fix the link...my silly typing fingers do not know where to go sometimes...or is it my brain??LOL!!! This message was edited Jun 25, 2010 10:49 AM |
