I have two guns, a .38 (which would be less than worthless) and a .357 Magnum which would probably do the job, but I'd have to be at very close range. I haven;t fired off a 'long gun' since my grandpa and I used to shoot hornets nests with a 12 gauge shotgun in Dallas, LOL that was maybe 40 years ago. But I'm tempted. When you walk down my little 'country lane' you will hear the pitter patter of corn feeders in the neighbor's yards going off, they are trying to attract them into traps and get them close enough to be shot. But seriously only a few have been bagged. Yesterday I potted up NINE full 3 gallon containers of Xanthosoma violacea (Blue tannia) that had been growing in the same place by my driveway for 6 years. The pigs came through and rotted almost every plant up and left them lying in the driveway. Some of these plants were 3-4 ft tall. At least they were able to be salvaged, But the flowerbed is decimated. This is a 'before' photo from last year I think. Not there anymore |
