However, the last two times I was there I haven't been too successful photographing birds. I hear a lot but they didn't come my way. I've heard a Yellow-billed Cuckoo and Scarlet Tanager. I saw the Tanager for a split second on the way back to the Visitor Center. I stopped the car, got out, set up my tripod and waited for about 45 minutes. He kept singing away in the treetops right above me for the entire time but wouldn't show himself. So, I left ..... The last time I was there, I did get some decent photos of an American Redstart.
