Every year a bug- or assortment of bugs, destroys my astilbe buds and some of the foliage by sucking. Yesterday I saw some damaged looking foliage and saw this little beige bug on there when I looked closer. The black spots on the leaves appear to be dead spots, not eggs. I sprayed the plant tonight with BioNeem spray, but don't know if that's enough to take care of it. I really, really don't want to lose my buds this year. Last year I had barely any blooms because of this insect(s). I can't wait out there 24/7 with insecticidal soap, so I really need to know what I can do to protect these plants.
