New growth is dark burgandy color. Branches grow upright and are stiff. Along the branch are single leaves staggered an at the base of each leaf is where the flower blooms. Blooms are dark pink, small (around 1-2"), and fragrant. Asked local nursery about it, they think it is a type of camellia. Have other camellias but blooms nothing like them. It bloomed in March. Thanks for ANY help I can get. Absolutely LOVE this plant.
