Found this young tree. Was not planted, appeared in my garden next to a juv. mahogany tree in St. Croix, in the Caribbean. Has obovate leaves in a whorl, some with drip tips, somewhat wavy margins and 3 branches at each node. Has not yet fruited or flowered. Leaves are smooth, veins defined on top and rougher on the bottom. No scent to the leaves. As it drops leaves there is a residual scar leaving the branches near the whorls textured.

The closest we can find is Omphalae triandra, but the photo in our reference book does not have drip tips.
