So my question is where, what, part of the vine do I take the cutting from.... I've never done this before so I really don't have a clue as to where I would take it, unless it is like taking a clematis cutting?

Crab apples are another one that I would like to take cuttings on.

I just recently did some cuttings and I put the root ton on them, put then in the seed starting mix and then put them in a plastic bag. They seemed to be doing fine and I opened up the bag after a 4 days and now one of them the leaves are dying.... the other two have new growth so I feel like they have rooted. 2 others died but I knew when it came for my turn that the only thing left on the plant was not something that would root, but I tried anyway...LOL
