Another good place is Middle Creek Wildlife Preserve in Kleinfeltersville, PA. It is about a 2 -hour drive for you using the PA turnpike. Upwards to 80,000 Snow Geese visit there before their trek back north. Mrs. Ed, I was getting cross-eyed trying to follow them all around me. They even dropped a "present" on my car while I was photographing them. I was afraid to look up. You should have some good Snow Goose populations in Southern Illinois. I read somewhere that a few years ago they estimated a population of upwards to 300,000 in the southern end of the state. You may not have to travel too far. Lily, thanks. I'm glad you enjoy looking at them. I've only looked at about 20% of them so far. But a lot of them are very similar. Here is another Canada Goose ....... |
