I'm loving this thread. It's a dreary, rainy day here ... not complaining because we sure need the rain and it's a lot better than what some of y'all are having to deal with or getting ready to deal with with snow and ice! Yikes, I can't complain at all.

WildRose: That little Titmouse is just the cutest little thing! That is so funny about the peanuts!

duckmother: Wow, that really is frost/ice on that Dove's tail feathers! I'm always amazed at what little birds can withstand weather wise! Ok, what is that cutie in your photo just before the dove? Is it one of the towees? It sure is pretty. I guess those Chipping Sparrows are common in lots of areas? We only see them here in winter time and I enjoy watching the teeny things flit about!

Hackster: I too love the Carolina Wren, great shot!

missy: Look at all those female red-winged blackbirds! Guess they decided to let the males fend for themselves!

nanny: ooh, that is an evil look on that crow's face ... that second shot is cute, amazing how much some of these birds can hold in their beaks at one time!

ducbuclyn: Nice shot of that female Brewer's Blackbird showing the detail! I've never seen one. My bird book says they are occasionally seen from Nov-Apr, usually singly or with small flocks or with Red-winged blackbirds, mostly in the northern part of Florida. Great pic of the Mockingbird. It has always amazed me at how low they will nest in trees or shrubs. We had a nest low in a hibiscus bush last year.

I got a couple of shots of a little Cardinal about a half hour ago before it began to pour.
