As for garden....that area is toast now. I had hibiscus shrubs that were 6 to 8 ft tall. I'd cut them down to 3 ft and cover them with hoop when it got cold. 'String Xmas bulbs and they'd make it thru the winters here. Ext. agent did an article a few yrs ago for TX Gardener magazine and included photo of my hib hoop. I decided to let them go this winter and try to plant a small vegetable garden in the space. I have very limited sun because of oak trees. Wanted to start a garden with my grandson this spring.
