Dahlianut, Margaret gave a really good explanation of the trees. Also, I'm not sure they all bloom. This one doesn't shed its bark, but there sure is a giant mess on the ground from the dead blooms. This one is across my street. We do have freezing temps during the winter and our normal in the summer is around 95 or more.
