Insect and Spider Identification: brown spider with black striping/patches and face-like body, 1 by fatjake

Sept.; p.m.; MD eastern shore; wooded backyard; not as hairy as the wolf spiders I usually encounter; legs are medium brown with black striping/patches; dark brown head; grey-brown patches on the body that almost resemble a face (when looking at the back end up and head pointing down); slightly smaller than a quarter (including legs). Couldn't get a good look at face. Thanks for any help.
