It sounds like 'Kauka Wilder' from your description, Dan. My KW is blooming now also (see picture below). It is an awesome cultivar.

Duke is now back to normal. His head tilt is gone; his energy is up; he is eating normally; and best of all, he is going potty outside. I snatched my baby back from the brink of death. No one is dying on my watch!

By the way, did you know that I call him "Dukeybear" a lot of the time?
