Then put in a replacement and another half piece. Then put in some metal stakes to hold it all in place until it settles in. I got some more of my plants in the ground. Some perennials from the Swap, the DG co-ops, and a few annuals that have been sitting in pots. I know that most of these won't flower or grow much although I do have a few that are blooming. The perennials will have a chance to settle in before fall and the cannas and dahlias will grow and maybe store a bit of energy before I dig them back up later in the fall. The irises and daylilies on the right side of the RR tie will get moved over to the new bed. |
