That is such a shame. I am so happy I do not have grasshoppers. Mostly I just get mites though I found a new cure. 1 spray and they are gone for months. Of course I just started fertilizing them a lot and it is all that new soft green growth that invites mites to come so I may be singing another tune next month.

I wish I could give you a piece of my RK too but it is hard to root. In the past I only had luck in the spring so I missed my best chance. I have a list of friends who want it. I have a 10 foot tree of it but with only a small canopy due to years of abuse. It actually died and came back from the roots. It got so tall because it was under my roog overhang on the side of the house and was stretching to the sun. It has not been repotted for 4 years. I have been such a bad brug mom for sure. I noticed today it has some new blooms. Way too pretty to let die again!

Today I went to visit my 2 seed pods on a sang or X flava. I am not sure which it is. I have been reading Preissels' book trying it figure it out. Probably a sang hybrid but it self pollinates and the flowers are not as pendant as a sangs are plus they flare more. The leaves are very shiny too. The calyx is a sang's too with all the splits, along with staying green and clinging to the growing seed pod. It is at a friend's house and she is letting me have the seedpods. When and if I get them, if you want you can get a few of these seeds too.
