I will try your technique, but it'll probably hurt, and definitely interfere with my singing! LOL!
Will use the tripod for some of those photos.
Got to get some photos today, in between chores and driving lessons with YS.
More soon. This is where I sit to take photos, as you can see, the hummers don't come too close. You can also the see the cords on the side of the gh. It's messy, and jungly, but we like it.
