noreaster, too many Heuchera out these days to keep up with, but your Gypsy Dancer in that combo is lovely.

Hemhostaholic, I really like your big planters and your choices planted in them. I have resurrected and old soapstone sink that is a perfect vessel for something similar, except what goes in it will have to winter over and be totally deer proof. I am thinking Sedums, but open to ideas. I haven't thought this out yet. Alpines would be devoured. Getting it moved was a chore. I had to do a lot of pointing! Thoughts and help, please. It is on the west side of the house with afternoon sun, but part shade the rest of the day. It is at least 3' wide and has a drain. It is at the entrance going down to the endless stream which is a shady dell. Patti
