Tracey, I am pleased to hear what you have to say about the LO's; I am pretty sure now that is what it must be as it is wayy too early to be a Casablanca which is what the bud resembles - and anyway I have a few Casablancas but they're not planted in that area. The Orientals (except Le Reve, which blooms fairly early) do struggle here because of the heat in light of the fact that they bloom so late, and suffer leaf and flower scorch.

Here is a bigger picture of the whole plant. I looked at my spreadsheet and I planted "Bright Brilliant" and "Long Island" for LO's.
