Can't see the image, but I'm sure he was a cutie!
Beahive, I have a couple of places where they survive in my ponds, but they get lots of regular food too. We built in hidey holes for the small gf, and in the overflow where the pump goes, the gf or sharks don't go. They also don't go in the container that holds my mini water lily in the raised planter. I even saw some tadpoles out in my big bottom waterer frame. Just give them a place where they can lay their eggs and you'll get them. Shallow containers seem to attract more frogs and toads.
I'd like to see your aquarium too Sunny.
Here is a photo of my gf/turtle pond.
If you look in the lower left of the photo, you'll see one of the favorite places for tadpoles to gather. You'll see the dry plastic that is currently keeping them dammed apart. What you can't see is the overflow/where the pump lives. You will see the turtle that I sang into being. Really, I was out singing to my other turtle, and the little one just showed up. I live in a desert and have no clue where it came from. I feed the turtles, gf pond food, and they do eat a few of the pollies, and maybe even some of the small gf. They also like to eat water lilies which is good because the water lilies are going to take over. LOL!
Hope this helps some.
