I'd like to collect the seeds, but it's getting down in the low 50's here at night. How long does it take for these seeds to ripen? Can I pot the plant and bring it in for the seeds to ripen? And - is this the type of plant I can cut back and keep over the winter. I know they're often grown as annuals, but it took over 6 months from germination to first bloom and if I could have a head start by keeping the plant over the winter, I'm game to give it a try.
