My amaryllis is just now blooming. Unfortunately the slugs ate through the stems of several of the buds before they opened. Amaryllis has to be their favorite food. I hated seeing them decapitated with their little noggin' buds laying there on the ground. The beds still look good, but the heat is about to do the allysum in. I figure the petunias and allysum will go at the same time, so I need to figure out what to put in their place. There is already some blue salvias in there, so they'll take off once the petunias are out and they have a little more room.
