Glass jars/terrariums don't always have to have plants. Yours sounds really cute with the moss and miniature rusty garden furniture! I hope you will post a picture for us! I love little vignettes like that. I can picture a terrarium with a little garden shed and miniature garden tools etc.

A few years ago I bought some large glass cookie jars with lids at Wal-Mart. I planted one with live plants for me and since my sister and my niece aren't into live plants I did one for my niece with white sand in the bottom, placed a mirror in the sand (to look like water), placed small sea shells and bits of drift wood on the sand, and stuck a little artificial palm tree and a couple of other plants down into the sand. It turned out to be a cute beachy theme.

At the time I had a couple of porcelain angel statues that I wanted to use so I planted one of the cookie jars with live plants for me and used one of the angel's in it. The other terrarium for my sister, I put teeny gravel in the bottom, some moss in one area, artificial greenery, a small mirror (again for "water"), and I laid a flat rock on the gravel ,with an angel sitting on the rock ... looking into the "water".

I have a lot of glass jars/terrariums planted up with plants but one that I found at a furniture store a couple of years ago while shopping with a friend wasn't in an area getting enough light so the plants began to fade. I have since removed all the plants and soil and done a seascape type thing with sand and shells. I will post a couple of photo's.

I can't find the pictures of the ones I did for my sister and my niece with artificial plants but you can see mine with live plants in this group.
