One thing I noted in another article and what I totally agree on "If you live in Arizona or Florida, echeverias will be a challenge—they prefer a frost-free but temperate climate, most species inhabiting altitudes between 3000 and 10,000 feet in the Mexican sierras or South American Andes. The happiest I ever saw in cultivation were in Carmel and San Francisco, California, where sea-breezes and occasional cold fog brightened their colors."
