My dilemma is whether to cut it WAY back to a stump or not. I kind of think it would be fun to see the two big stalks of flowers, but it might take a lot out of the plant. Then, if I cut it back after it blooms I don't know if it would have energy to put out new growth for next year.

I will add a picture showing how it looked just two summers ago and you can see how much it has "laid down."
